Fitting Advice
Do you have a tape measure handy? Corset sizing is not similar to dress sizes AND there are two ways to choose your corset size when ordering a corset online. Corset sizes are measured according to your waist measurement (no breathing in!).
We do advise coming along to the boutique for a free fitting (no appointment required) if possible so as well as accurate measurements we can advise on styles that will best suit your figure from bust lines and height, to back length and side gores!
Please read the fitting advice tab on your chosen corset – your natural measurements may be required OR your ‘reduced waist’ may be required.
When purchasing a reduced waist corset you choose the size your required size. Our more tailored corsets you can supply your own measurements and we will choose the size for you.
What is a reduced waist?
Our specialist corsets are designed to reduce your waist between 2 to 6 inches depending on your natural shape and that of your chosen corset. Most of us ladies can be easily reduced by 2 to 4 inches comfortably.
How do I find out my reduced waist measurement?
Take the tape measure around waist, and then reduce 2 or 4 from your natural waist measurement. A natural size 28 inch waist can wear a 26 or 24 inch corset.

Natural Measurements?
If the size and fit tab of your chosen corset requests that you select your natural or actual measurements, have your tape measure at the ready, supply your measurements from the drop down menu and we will send you the correct corset size for your figure.
Full bust measurement: With your bra on measure around your ribcage at the fullest point of your bust.
Underbust measurement: Where your bra band sits, measure around your ribcage at the smallest point.
Bra cup: This is important for us to know if the corset you choose is the most appropriate for your shape. This is because some of our corsets are specifically designed for larger or smaller busts. Rather then send a corset that may not be appropriate, we will get in touch before sending your corset if this is the case.
Waist measurement: It is important that you measure the narrowest point of your waist (and breathe normally, please!).
Full hips measurement: This is important. You should measure the widest point at the hips outline. Not at the hips bones, but very slightly further down at the widest point of your body.
If you are unsure about your measurements, why not ask the experts and arrange your free fitting appointment. Your consultation will also allow you to try on different corsets to find the style that suits you. You can arrange an appointment if you prefer by calling 0141 334 3768.
